Professional Biography

I’m a UK-based Microsoft Endpoint Management Engineer with over 25 years of experience designing, deploying and supporting Windows devices in enterprise environments. These days that mostly means Intune, ConfigMgr (SCCM), Windows Autopilot and Windows deployment — helping organisations modernise, secure and simplify how they manage their endpoint estates.

Over the years I’ve worked across a huge range of Microsoft technologies: Windows 10 and Windows 11 migrations, operating system deployment, application packaging, patch management, endpoint security, BitLocker, and no shortage of hybrid Intune/ConfigMgr environments. A lot of that comes down to building and automating deployment processes with PowerShell, ConfigMgr task sequences and whatever modern management tooling fits the job.

I genuinely enjoy the technical side of this — troubleshooting a deployment that’s refusing to behave, building a lab to test something before it goes near production, getting Windows 11 IoT LTSC working properly, wiring up certificate services, or just poking at the latest Intune capabilities to see what’s changed. Finding something that actually holds up in a real environment, not just in a demo, is what I care about most.

Outside of core endpoint management, I’ve built up solid experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI/Certificate Services, SQL Server, SSRS and Windows Admin Center — the infrastructure that everything else sits on top of.

After 25+ years I’m still learning, still experimenting, and still enjoy sharing what I pick up along the way. At the end of the day it’s about helping organisations improve security, cut down operational overhead, and give users a better experience through management and automation that actually works.
